"Confidence building weekend, brings Scott home in 16th"

Glenn Scott has ridden another successful race over in the United Kingdom at Donington Park on the weekend, bringing home his Kawasaki zx10rr in 16th place, just shy of taking another point. The race weekend was extremely positive for Glenn and his Agro-On Benjan Kawasaki team, with it being the most rewarding one yet, in terms of time improvement and bike setup.

“I’m really happy with myself and the team’s efforts this weekend. Although we have missed out on another championship point in the race, this has been by far our best weekend this year. We have definitely taken a step forward in improving both myself and the bike, we’re just chipping away at it, one race at a time and it feels great”.

Glenn and the team began the weekend only 4 seconds off the front at the end of Fridays practice sessions. Scott then found himself only 2 seconds off the front at the end of qualifying with a grid position of 18th to start Sundays race. He continued this positive momentum into Sundays warm-up where he was 1.6 seconds off the front with a 1.31.6, which gave him a world of confidence going into the race.

“All weekend we just kept gaining and improving, warm-up was a really positive step forward for us, as we improved our time and we were then sitting in P13 for the session. It was a good feeling for me as we haven’t been able to match my Qualifying time in warm-up all season”.

Sundays race was really positive for Scott, he managed to gain 2 positions, with the fight for 12th right in front of him. He finished the race in P16, only just missing out on another championship point, but being the first Agro-on Benjan Kawasaki rider home was an achievement in itself that Scott was very happy with.

“I fought hard in the race, and I’m really happy with my efforts. I did lack some aggression in the first parts of the race, which may have hurt me position and point wise but with another race under my belt, my confidence continues to build and I’m becoming more and more comfortable with the bike. The data from the race that we gained is invaluable, and will only help us to improve in the next coming races and I can’t wait to see what we deliver”.

Thank you to my team and great sponsors, Shark Leathers, Shoei Helmets, and Daytona Boots for their continuous support.

The 1000STK championship continues in Misano Adriatico, Italy from 16th-18th June.
