Catalan Championship: 22nd-24th May 2009

This weekend I return to the race track for the Catalan Championship at the circuit of Catalunya in Montmelo Spain. This is my first ride since Round 1 of the CEV Championship in April. I am feeling extremely fit and very focused for this race/test.

Although I am racing, my team, Stop and Go Honda treat this race meeting as an opportunity to test the bike settings. This race is not in the same class as the highly valued CEV Championship.

The Catalan Circuit is one of my favourites. I find the circuit very challenging as it is a fast, 4.65 km difficult circuit. I am certainly looking forward to racing the Honda bike and working with my team.

JEREZ Testing: 26th-27th May 2009

After the Catalunya race, my team and I are travelling 16 hours to the south of Spain for two days of bike testing on the Jerez Circuit. This test is crucial. One week after this test I will be competing in Round 2 of the CEV Championship. During the few days on the Jerez Circuit I will be working solidly with my team to locate a good base setting for my race scheduled on 5th-7th June. Hopefully, after the race I will be feeling confident on my bike. The Jerez Circuit is very difficult and technical but it suits my style of riding. The circuit is 4.48km long. I am excited by the testing prospects.

The Stop and Go Honda team have worked tirelessly over the past few weeks preparing the bike. As a result, I am not anticipating any problems for the 2 day test.
